I do see *something* in your samples however it is not very clear whether it is in the image or from the sensor. I am not convinced either way. You mentioned that these are underexposed by -.33 but you haven't mentioned how much you lifted it in PP. Without detailed info it is difficult to say anything.

 

In my M240, I don't have any banding issues at ISO 1000 with *moderate* shadow lifting. You need to look at some more images and judge for yourself. If banding starts showing up with moderate (maybe a stop or so) shadow lifting at ISO1000 then I would be concerned. 

 

Having said that, I think there is a place for pure dark areas in a good image and lifting shadows should be an exception rather than norm. Of course each will have own preferences in PP and will have to work around limitation of equipment.

I lifted the exposure by 1.29 in CaptureOne and reduced the brightness by -8. And some minor corrections...

I will try to repeat the effect.

Lifting exposure only by 1.29 will not show banding at ISO 1000. You need to repeat the test by shooting subject that doesn't have its own texture in dark areas.
