haydenc Posted June 9, 2016 Share #21 Posted June 9, 2016 Advertisement (gone after registration) Gordon, you seem to know a lot about these flashes! I am have Canon flashes as well as some Bowen studio strobes and 3 of the Godox 360s. I have basic triggers for the Bowens and Godox which work fine with the SL at 1/250th or under. I don't care much for TTL, but what I am really missing from using the canon flashes on Canon cameras is HSS. I like to shoot some sport stuff with flash overpowering ambient light. At 1/250th it is not really possible. What exactly is Leica's flash protocol? On some Metz flashes they are available for 'Olympus, Panasonic and Leica'. Does that mean any system/flash that works for Olympus or Panasonic also works on Leica? (not that there are many available for these guys!) Nissin is releasing a new flash that looks interesting. i60A together with a wireless trigger etc. http://www.nissindigital.com/i60a.html It is a full powered flash (like Canon 600ex) but in a smaller form factor. They are producing one for 'Micro four thirds' which I hope means Leica as they will be for Olympus and Panasonic cameras. They also have a Air receiver with a hot shoe which I am hoping I could then use to fire the Godox 360s with HSS. I just hope it is compatible with Leica as it seems the only way to get HSS on the SL is with a SF58 or SF64 directly in the hotshoe of the camera.
