Wasn't that button used in old fw? I just press the joystick for the magnification...
ramarren Posted April 4, 2016 Share #5 Posted April 4, 2016 Bottom left button? Wasn't that button used in old fw? I just press the joystick for the magnification... The joystick button provides one-step focus magnification for non-dedicated lenses with fw 1.2 and later. With the SL and T lenses fitted, the joystick button is used for other camera functions and cannot be dedicated to focus magnification.

Is there a two-step magnification available using the four buttons when you are shooting with an R lens or other non T-mount lenses? Or does only the joystick offer a fixed amount of magnification? scott

The one-step focus magnification is available on the toggle button, but only when using an adapted lens. There are no other focus magnification options that I'm aware of. That was a lazy question. Sometimes the lower magnification that you get with the LL button is easier to use than the stronger magnification that comes with pressing the joystick and using a manual focus lens. So that is still available. scott

For the moment being I only use my M lenses...
orc999 Posted August 14, 2016 Share #10 Posted August 14, 2016 That helped the good thing about the magnification with the SL lens is, there is a focus point/box, when magnifying it will jump to that area instead of the center. is there a way to get the same with m lenses? steppenw0lf Posted August 14, 2016 Share #11 Posted August 14, 2016 No it always jumps to the center. Maybe a wish for some of the next firmware releases.
