Maximus Posted March 30, 2016 Share #1 Posted March 30, 2016 Advertisement (gone after registration) I have been thinking long and hard which digital M should join my MP and have been weighing up the pros and cons of the 240 vs 246.I'm still not sure I have the answer, but in the end I decided on the 246 for a few basic reasons which are.It forces you to shoot in black and white (of course).Very high ISO performance is a little better.I love the way it looks. There's no wrong choice here, but us amateurs are dealing with emotion at this level and I just felt for me, the 246 tipped the balance.Having said that here's a photo I took with a 240 recently Welcome, dear visitor! david strachan Posted March 30, 2016 Share #2 Posted March 30, 2016 Lovely portrait. A rather nice soft look...an older lens?? Or processing? Using the sliders in LR with the 240 gives more control on contrast with each and every single colour. One can shoot in B&W with all the M digitals...and get a pretty decent review & JPG B&W. again nice pic...not all women appreciate the Leica sharpness.. Maximus Posted March 30, 2016 Author Share #3 Posted March 30, 2016 Thank you.It was shot with a Noctilux and the image is a reflection in a mirror. Hence the lovely softness.
Belle123 Posted March 30, 2016 Share #4 Posted March 30, 2016 Over time, you will start to see a big difference between the images out of the 240 converted to monochrome vs the 246. I am spoiled by it now.
