That's a great image, full of the Leica qualities we have come to expect. Had it been a celebrity I would have applauded, but an average Jane on the way to somewhere in the early hours - nah.. To me it's got bad vibes...

Oh, Mano, you are such a sensitive and empathetic soul, which admire :)  But have no fear or concern, in NYC every place you turn someone is pointing a camera in the air; at what, who knows.  For all this person knew, I could have been shooting one of the many buildings or landmarks just past her.  I gave her no indication that she was my subject; in fact I had already set my focus and, in a nanosecond, brought to camera to my eye.  Aint no harm in that, believe me, my dear friend...  

 

Having said this, I am not sure I see the logic in your double standard, as whatever sense of personal space and privacy we have is possessed by all...
