dwphoto Posted March 18, 2016 Share #1 Posted March 18, 2016 Advertisement (gone after registration) Hello all - just wanted to let you know that I ran into a pretty significant issue with the SL yesterday while I was shooting a video job. I was shooting a few scenes in a house, shooting a number of takes, then on the sixth or seventh take the recording would not turn off. Tried hitting the record button. Then I tried the power switch, which didn't help because the camera kept recording. Finally I pulled the battery. I downloaded the card and the last video clip didn't make it onto the card unfortunately. I then formatted the card and started over. Four or five takes in, it happened all over again. I am using a Lexar 64GB Professional 1000x UHS-II SDXC Memory Card, which I hear from the folks at Leica that this is probably the root of the problem. I wish I had know this was an issue, but hopefully it will be resolved soon with the next firmware update. So keep an eye out for that. Happy shooting. dw
Advertisement Posted March 18, 2016 Posted March 18, 2016 Hi dwphoto, Take a look here Video Recording Issue on SL. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
digitalfx Posted March 18, 2016 Share #2 Posted March 18, 2016 Are you using slot 1? There is only one UHS II card currently supported for video. Hopefully this will be addressed in future FW, but for now you should stick with the supported card. Although I've used the Sandisk card with no issues.
