fredus Posted March 8, 2016 Share #1 Posted March 8, 2016 Advertisement (gone after registration) Hi there! I'm the new and excited owner of a brand new Leica 262! It joins the Leica family IIIf, M3 and MP I paired it with a 'Lux 50mm. I couldn't be happier! Are there must read articles, FAQ, posts about the 262 I should be aware of? I saw FAQ for the 240 but don't know if there is one for the 262. Thanks! Fred

M9reno Posted March 8, 2016 Share #2 Posted March 8, 2016 Welcome to the Forum and congratulations on your camera. I forgot what the 262 is. What's the best way to keep track? The Wiki is not up-to-date on this.

Fred Welcome to the forum! Not sure if there is any info specific to the 262, but you can use the search function in the forum. It is in all essence a M 240. Just no Live view and video. it is great camera and the pairing with Lux 50 sounds fantastic.

marchyman Posted March 8, 2016 Share #5 Posted March 8, 2016 The only thing I've seen regarding the 262 are some reviews from three months ago and one or two youtube videos. I kept looking while I was waiting for the 262 I ordered to arrive. Now that the second batch has hit the stores and people who were waiting have the camera I expect more how-to or other tutorials come in the near future. Or not M9reno, the 262 is a 240 without live view, the ability to plug in an EVF, USB, and a few other things. It also has a (powder coated?) aluminum top piece instead of one made from brass which results in a slight weight savings.
Gregm61 Posted March 8, 2016 Share #6 Posted March 8, 2016 There's not much out there at the moment on the M262. I've had mine now several days and love the thing. May be a while before any of my other digital cameras see the light of day. A few images I have captured so far are here.. https://gmchappell.smugmug.com/Other/Leica-M262-Test-Images/
jaapv Posted March 9, 2016 Share #7 Posted March 9, 2016 Advertisement (gone after registration) Nice, but may I draw your attention to our Photoforums and image threads? In general we like to keep the technical forums for technical stuff, speculations on future models, etc.
