I have to hold my hand up and say I may have been a bit aggressive with the post processing in Silver effex. Just seemed right at the time but now... I’m not too sure.

Thanks for your feedback 👍

there is no uncertainty for me - exaggerations can also be the desired result - apart from the good motive, it has a suitable blur

I agree with that. It’s a pain in the eye qua contrast and there is no resting point qua focus.

there are several rest points that i can control in the photo
i don't find restlessness ......the motif alone leads through the photo

Thanks for coming with positive, makes me feel a little better about it.

I don’t mind negative feedback on my photography, such as Otto.f’s, and tbh I think we can all learn from honest appraisal.

If we had a thread devoted for feedback, and assuming the contributors could stomach the outcome, it just maybe become a good training method. Any thoughts, anyone?

thanks for your answer

Components in a factual discussion will always be negative and positive -
it makes things more exciting and, as you write, more honest and more capable of learning for us - nothing is one-sided
that's why i also have Otto.f. also replied because i respect his view

Steve. Start a thread “for feedback”. It’s a fine idea. Perhaps egos would stay positive and calm and interesting points made. But after witnessing an exchange here where a participant went bonkers when casually referred to as “dude”, one is left to wonder. :0). Cheers.

I may do that when I next post an iffy image.

This sort of healthy reception of critique and appraisal is actually what LUF could use a lot more, thanks Steve Ricoh
