Very nice pictures Ralf3 - is it the same location that Oscar Barnack took the flood pictures on his prototype Leica?

The Zeiss 35mm C F2.8 Biogon is a very good lens and a hidden gem of 35mm photography!!

It is the same town, but a little higher then the river Lahn. I don't believe that the water came up to this buildings, but I can be wrong ;).

The 35mm Biogon is a very good lens and my preferred focal length.

From a feature that I did looking at the Shia Islam "Day of Ashura" the "Day of Mourning"

This is a ceremony carried out by Shia's all over the world and is a funeral procession that remembers the martyrdom of Hussain the grandson of the prophet Mohammed (PBUH) at the battle of Karbala.

The men beat their chests to rhythmic funeral dirges and then back at the mosque flagellate themselves with sharpened knives on chains.

The women also take part in the procession and wear black as a mark of respect.

These were all taken in Bradford, West Yorkshire, UK. They were all on a pair of Leica M6's with 28mm Elmarit. 35mm Summicron, 50mm Summicron and 90mm Summicron lenses.

Strong work. Thanks for posting this work!

Film was Kodak TRI-X and as always in Kodak D76 diluted 1+1.

Strong work thanks for posting

I've got more Hitchcock associations here , or Mrs. Fletcher

strange, but interesting - the smaller and more brittle one selects an image excerpt -  the bigger the circle of the suspects......

thanks !

A (Dry) Lazy Day

The same image as above, scanned *after* it had dried only now the contrast is better because the emulsion is not cloudy. The shape has changed a bit as well as the paper dried.
