ColColt Posted February 27, 2016 Share #1 Â Posted February 27, 2016 Advertisement (gone after registration) I recently bought a pristine M4 and initially put the 50 f2 DR Summicron on it to check focus. It was buttery smooth with this lens as was the Zeiss 35 F2.8 Biogon lens. However, on the M2, focusing became a bit more stiff with the Zeiss lens. TomB_tx Posted February 28, 2016 Share #2 Â Posted February 28, 2016 I have a rigid Summicron that has focus stiffen on my 1955 M3, but fine on my 62 M3. The mount of the 55 is a tighter fit, and it must slightly distort the lens when mounted. I have heard others mention this also, when a camera has a tight fitting mount.
