Michael Hiles Posted February 17, 2016 Share #2 Posted February 17, 2016 Very nice. Foxes around here are usually elusive (but once recently I saw one wandering down the middle of my suburban street...)
platypus Posted February 17, 2016 Share #3 Posted February 17, 2016 Foxes are very canny, with great self confidence and a highly developed sense of self preservation, they rarely take risks and can vanish in the blink of an eye. As children we got to know well three orphaned fox kits that our mother was raising, we had care of them for about a year, they did not make good pets never forgetting their feral ways and always displaying an unpredictable and snappish temperament. We, and the foxes most of all, were relieved when they were old enough to be released. This is a fine photo, and there seems another image lurking in the upper portion of the frame where the abstract reflections in the dark water look very interesting!
