Today I received the half-case for my M9. Arti di mano means hand-made in Italian, but the manufacturer is actually Korean. I choose leather "Minerva tabacco" which is medium dark with a very slight reddish touch. They told me a lead time of four weeks after order (and payment) but already two weeks later I received an email that they finished their work and sent out the case (incl. a matching leather strap) by FedEx and three days later it arrived (in Germany).

The case comes in a nice cardboard box in silk paper, it looks like a jewel (and cost rather ... about USD 600 for case and strap).

But it's worth! Really wonderfully made, perfect and tight fitting like a glove on my M9 and the leather looks so cool with the steel grey top of the M9.

The Arte di Mano half case fit's so much better onto the camera than the original Leica case (that came with my 2nd hand M9), the Korean one is a total different level of quality.

The camera now also can be hold much better with the wooden, leather trimmed hand grip.

The combo also matches quite well the Contax G1 leather bag that I use for my M9 equipment.

Of course it's a bit an effort to remove the camera from the case to change battery or card, but such M users are used to.

Enclosed some pictures (in separate posts due to the silly 500 kB restriction in this forum).

I have one of the Arte Di Mano cases for my M240P and they are beautifully made and fit perfectly.

The case takes seconds to remove, just undo two poppers and slide it off... exactly like any other case. I'm not sure why Gunston bothered to make that post... it's apparent he isn't speaking from experience.

Congratulations on you case chrismuc, it looks beautiful. :)
