sootyvrs Posted February 15, 2016 Share #1  Posted February 15, 2016 Advertisement (gone after registration) Recently purchased this legendary lens and loving it so far...  However, in Lightroom 6.1 (Mac version) I found that when I select the Leica WATE lens profile (16, 18 or 21) that the vignetting slider is greyed out where you can't manually adjust it (unlike other lens profiles).  Can I check with anyone that uses this profile if this is normal?  Thanks in advance

jaapv Posted February 15, 2016 Share #2 Â Posted February 15, 2016 If it is just about vignetting why don't you use the vignetting slider in the Develop Module?
sootyvrs Posted February 15, 2016 Author Share #3 Â Posted February 15, 2016 When I tried the vignetting slider in the develop module it didn't seem to give as fine control over the vignetting compared to the slider on the lens profile (other lenses). 01af Posted February 16, 2016 Share #4  Posted February 16, 2016  However, in Lightroom 6.1 (Mac version) I found that when I select the Leica WATE lens profile (16, 18 or 21) that the vignetting slider is greyed out where you can't manually adjust it (unlike other lens profiles).   That's normal. The Tri-Elmar-M 16-18-21 mm Asph's profile in Lightroom (or Camera Raw) addresses distortion only, not vignetting—hence no fine-adjustment for vignetting control here.  So you have to resort to the regular vignetting control in the Lens Corrections > Manual pane. Fortunately, this lens shows hardly any vignetting anyway, so usually you'll get away with no vignetting correction at all.
