The debris indicates that it was fastened down onto something firm on the seabed. Today, despite everything we know, the whereabouts of where Rays lay and secure their egg cases still remains unclear. Any information is useful. (Google shark trust for more info). Taken on a 60mm Macro-Elmarit on a Canon 1DS Mk3 with available light and reflectors on a copy stand (still useful in spite of scanners!).
