It explains better than the instruction book what the options do to the images you take. It's a very good start but experimenting is the best way to improve your technique. White's camera books are extremely good and better than the camera's instruction manual because they are written from the point of view of a photographer rather than a manual writer. I don't have the book for the LX 100 but I had the copy for my D-Lux 109 and it helped me understand the camera far better. I had equivalent books for my D-Lux 2, D-Lux 4, and D-Lux 5 and they were all very good and extremely helpful.
