it's been long time since I last looked at my XVario's B&W OOCs, my lightroom was set to show DNGs only file and i was too lazy to go into preferences and ask it to treat jpg as separate files. Today, playing with my cat, I decided to repeat one of the first shots i took of him with the XV. This time I had to shoot ISO 3200.

I still can't believe how beautiful this camera's B&W is.

Thanks for lookingMano. It's a windy rainy gray day and my cat gets cuter in such weather :-)

Should we worrY about you?

In my younger days, on a rainy night and after a few bottles of plonk, various females certainly become "cuter" --

Rodrigue,

wow, what a mastershot!

THe cat seems to like the photoshooting and is posing so nicely. Amazing threedimensionality and liveliness in a classic frame.

Thanks Idun.Glad you enjoyed the pause of the king of my house.

Super image (atishoo - excuse the sneeze, I'm allergic to cats). Now, where was I? Ah yes, b&w jpg's ooc from the X-Vario can indeed negate the need for post-processing.

Hahahah, thanks Keith.

when you say allergic to cats does that means also dogs or it's an allergy specifically triggered by cats. I hear the term so often but never asked that question.

Great shot!  I just got the X Vario and am having difficult getting good focus, either using AF or Manual, in less-than-idea light.  Any suggestions?

Thanks. What focus setting are you using?
