It lacks the design, it lacks the desirability, it's not built to work with FF M lenses, but I think many of us shooting our Ts with M lenses have at some point done the comparison between our Ts and the A6000. Now there's a new model, the A6300. The autofocus system, running with Sony lenses, sounds rather amazing, but if you've matched your T with a M lens, then this step up in AF tech has no appeal. 

 

That said, I do hope Leica is paying attention to where the bar has been raised for a mirrorless APS-C camera and are carefully planning how to improve the T for its next version, which if the 3-year cycle applies, we'll see in April 2017.

Yes but the trouble with most of these smaller mirrorless cameras is the same. BIG lenses and with most the balance is then likely to feel wrong in the hand. I think the 3 T zoom lenses are just about right for the size of the T. I am not convinced either that full-frame is better for the average image shooter of today. The images that one can produce from the T and Lightroom are outstanding. I would not go back to Sony personally.

The T is more than just another APSC camera. It is a sophisticated experiment in interface and design and it is a take it or leave it proposition. The Sony a6000 and probably the a6300 is a one size does everything camera and it does it very well. There are few cameras at twice the price that can match it. But the T took camera sophistication to a whole new level giving a very complex camera a way to be a very fast simple shooter. Once the very easy to navigate menu is set up, it is ready to shoot in most any situation. I was fascinated by the design and I finally went for it. I have considered the T adapter, but since I have an M9P and a Fuji XPro-1 with a very well functioning M mount lens adapter, I'll just use the Leica T with the 23mm AF lens it came with as a straight forward travel/street shooter camera. I really think that is what Leica had in mind. For instance, I have mine set up with the three user profiles set for: 1. my usual setup, 2. B&W and 3. bracketed. To switch from one to the other is a very quick swipe at the  screen, frame and shoot. Lovely camera.
