sandymc Posted June 2, 2007 Share #41 Posted June 2, 2007 Advertisement (gone after registration) Windows on Mac with Parallels/Boot Camp (Intel Mac) or Virtual PC on a G4 should all support the application. It'll just be a normal windows app built on .NET by the sounds of it. If you need someone to look at the Mac port then I could possibly be interested to help. I have a full dev environment and could look at a port if you need it. Haven't tested under Parallels, but there is no reason why CornerFix would not work in that environment. I'd be very happy to help anyone that wanted to do a Mac port - I just have zero Mac development experience myself. Sandy

sandymc Posted June 2, 2007 Share #42 Posted June 2, 2007 Sean & Sandy, how is this programme different or better than PanoTools Radial Luminance? I've been using that ever since I've had my M8 and find it works admirably. My big problem is where there's a mix of lenses used on my card, of course there's no EXIF data to show me how to group them for batch correction. I'm very excited about these programmes because I'm loathe to butcher my collectible lenses (such as the 35 Summilux-ASPHERICAL) with coding. The big differences are: a) it works on DNG files, so allows you to continue to use whatever raw developer you want It's an automated process, vs PanoTools radial luminance largely manual process c) It should also give better correction - PanoTools uses a linear approximation, where CornerFix uses more sophisticated models. sean_reid Posted June 2, 2007 Share #44 Posted June 2, 2007 Given the mostly constructive nature of this forum, someone (perhaps Graham) will end up working with Sandy to get a Mac version of this working. Cheers, Sean
