I like the 15mm lens. Look at those amazing WA Macro pictures!  http://www.venuslens.net/  Unfortunately, no M mount, but with Nikon and adapter les jeux sont faits

FlashGordonPhotography Posted January 30, 2016 Share #2 Â Posted January 30, 2016 Macro with wide lenses is easy. The wider the lens the less extension you need to focus really close. Live View or the EVF makes this easy on the M. Â If you have a wide(ish) M lens you can turn it into a macro by adding a small extension tube. Of course the subject will be extremely close to the front element. Â I have the Novoflex tubes and can get 1:1 with a 35mm lens. I've tried it with the WATE at 21mm for a bit of fun but nothing serious. Â Gordon
bencoyote Posted February 4, 2016 Share #3  Posted February 4, 2016 Check out the last 3 shots in https://goo.gl/photos/mmNxkpHPLf6ag3mk6 Those are a 28mm 50mm and 90mm at the minimum focal distance with the current Leica macro adapter fully extended. I was impressed by the amount that the quarter filled the frame using the 28mm in comparison to the 50 & 90. Since I'm digital only, I really don't have clear notion about magnification ratio and what it means with a non tangible recording media but this was counterintuitive to my previous understanding of magnification ratio. It seems like the wider angle lenses's closer focusing overcomes the magnification by a longer FD.
