steppenw0lf Posted January 28, 2016 Share #1 Posted January 28, 2016 Advertisement (gone after registration) Sorry to ask again: (to be sure to be sure) Leica Manual says top slot is UHS-II and bottom slot is UHS-I . Somewhere someone said top slot is UHS-I and bottom slot is UHS-II . Which one is true ? (Why is the manual wrong ?) How can I verify easily to be absolutely sure ? Sorry and thanks. Stephan P.S. I use UHS-II card in top slot and got a friendly hint that this was wrong.

AlanJW Posted January 28, 2016 Share #2 Posted January 28, 2016 Is there a discernable difference in speed between UHS I and II?
thighslapper Posted January 28, 2016 Share #3 Posted January 28, 2016 Slot 1 is definitely UHS II. Get a bright light and a magnifying glass ...... you can see the difference in connectors in the slots if you look carefully ....

steppenw0lf Posted January 28, 2016 Author Share #5 Posted January 28, 2016 Is there a discernable difference in speed between UHS I and II? Hi, theoretically UHS-II should be almost 3 times as fast. Stephan
steppenw0lf Posted January 28, 2016 Author Share #6 Posted January 28, 2016 Hello again, so in the camera the top slot is labeled as 1. That means the top slot (1) is UHS-II which is exactly what the manual says. So the manual is right ! Right ? Stephan
ramarren Posted January 28, 2016 Share #7 Posted January 28, 2016 Advertisement (gone after registration) Um, yes. Top slot is slot 1, is UHS II. I haven't found that it makes any difference in startup speed to use a UHS II card, but it might write to the card a bit faster. I don't really see much difference in use between the Sandisk Extreme Pro 64G 95Mbps vs Lexar Professional 1000x 128GB SDXC UHS-II/U3 150Mbps. digitalfx Posted January 29, 2016 Share #10 Posted January 29, 2016 Its only going to be faster with UHS II Cards...which have the additional contacts. I presume this is for 4K video only though.
