gpwhite Posted January 26, 2016 Share #1 Posted January 26, 2016 Advertisement (gone after registration) Oh my... an older-design lens pulled me back to shooting a bit of film, so I picked up a nice M7 with a 0.72 finder. The application for me will be 80%+ with 50mm. I am very intrigued by the 0.85 finder (without 75mm framelines) and would be up for having Leica revise my M7. BTW, I did look for an 0.85 M7 in the first place, but could find only an MP 0.85 (and at nearly double the price). Comments from M shooters who have purchased this revision? Advertisement Posted January 26, 2016 Posted January 26, 2016 Hi gpwhite, Take a look here revise VF to 0.85?. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
pinchers of peril Posted February 1, 2016 Share #2 Posted February 1, 2016 I have an M6 with standard 0.72 finder but I bought the Leica magnifier that just screws into the viewfinder and turns it into a 0.85. It does stick out a little from the back, but I like that I can take it off if I want to shoot wider. I currently only have a 50mm lens and so the magnifier just stays on all the time for right now.
