I have been offered one of these by my daughter's father-in-law, who found it in a drawer in his darkroom. Has anyone tried to see if one of these will line up with the viewfinder on the SL? See photo of item below.   I only discovered that particular accessory recently and found one on Ebay for about $30. I ordered it over the weekend; I figure I have two Leicaflex bodies I can use it with and $30 is pretty cheap. If it can be modified to fit the SL too that will be a plus.  It will take making a different angle mount bit to use it with the SL. The Leicaflex SL measures about 8mm from the back of the accessory shoe to the edge of the eye piece, the SL measures 20mm. The Leicaflex SL measures 19mm from the bottom of the accessory shoe to the middle of the eye piece, the SL measures 22mm. The mount part attaches to the finder with four bolts ... Should be very easy to make or have one made to fit, any machinist could do it pretty easily.  Then it's a matter of how well it might work... It's mostly unnecessary since you can just connect an iPhone or iPad to the SL wirelessly and have a big, clear, sharp viewfinder at your disposal, able to be placed anywhere you want, with a zero-vibration wireless remote release as well. Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...
