Northwest Wanderer Posted January 9, 2016 Share #1 Posted January 9, 2016 Advertisement (gone after registration) This eagle was a good distance from me but I couldn't resist taking the image. Seems this bird was very upset with another eagle that tried to land in his tree. VL 114 Welcome, dear visitor! lleo Posted January 9, 2016 Share #2 Posted January 9, 2016 Holy ******* Lucky you. My favourite animal together with the cats. Awesome. Errr... but maybe with a Nikon 300 or 400 f2.8?
stuny Posted January 10, 2016 Share #3 Posted January 10, 2016 Leo - Bill used his V Lux 114, probably at 800MM, which suggests a Nikon 300 or 400 may not have been of much value.

Leo, Stuart is correct about focal length. This image was taken at 800MM and at a great distance at that. I posted it because the birds aggressive posture made the image interesting. A 300 or 400 MM would not have been enough. Glad you enjoyed the image.
