Hello and Happy New Year! My lovely wife gave me a very extravagant gift of a 35 summilux pre asph and a few rolls of Cinestill 800T for Christmas. Now I'm busy trying to find the relevant Series 7 filter that will allow me to shoot tungsten film in daylight and what better place to start than to ask the members here? Thanks in advance!

No idea if Leica / Leitz has ever offered series-7 filters in 85B and / or how difficult it would be to find one on the second hand market.

Fortunately the lens hood 12504 takes also E-49 filters - you just have to insert in with the thread to the object.

Thanks, Pico, I ought to have been clearer with my question: Is there an 85B Leica series 7 filter (or third party filter)  that will fit into the lens hood 12504?

My apology!  Good question. I use the same lens and hood. I'll check the maker in a few minutes.

EDIT: Mine are Leica brand. No color correction filters. Thanks to mnutzer for his suggestion!

In a pinch,  you can cut a proper size circle from a Lee Polyester or Kodak gel and attach it to inside of UV filter.  I recommend the Lee.

I have done this when needing special size IR filters.   It works really well.

Gels can not be touched by hands.  I have saved Lees that were submerged in water.  10,000 time more durable.
