Carl E Posted January 8, 2016 Share #1  Posted January 8, 2016 Advertisement (gone after registration) All,  My Minilux has been lying on the shelf for years now with the dreaded E02 error and I am tempted to buy the MGR adapter to make use of the excellent Summarit optics.  If someone has tried this, or Mr Miyazaki's version of the same, could you please post a quick review? Advertisement Posted January 8, 2016 Posted January 8, 2016 Hi Carl E, Take a look here Minilux to M conversion adapter - any user experience yet?. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
ocean2059 Posted January 8, 2016 Share #2  Posted January 8, 2016 I have one that is converted by Mr. Miyazaki.  The build of the conversion is not very robust and the lens has developed de-center problems.  I sent it to Japan once but the problem wasn't properly fixed and I have been thinking about sending the lens to DAG as he has an optical bench that he may be able fix the problem.   I really like the lens when I had my Minilux.  Knowing what I knew now, I wouldn't recommend it.  Mechanically, it lens is too vulnerable and it's an expensive conversation, at least for Mr. Miyazaki's conversion.
james.liam Posted January 12, 2016 Share #3 Â Posted January 12, 2016 Seems going for the Leica C 40 may make more sense cost-wise
Hayek Posted January 13, 2016 Share #4 Â Posted January 13, 2016 I ask this out of total ignorance; what does that Minilux lens 'do' that available M lenses don't?
