jevidon Posted January 5, 2016 Share #1 Posted January 5, 2016 Advertisement (gone after registration) Olympus made the EVF used on the Leica X2 and the Olympus VF-2 is identical and worked on the X2 just great for a lot less money. The only difference is the name Olympus on it instead of Leica. Do you know who makes the EVF for the Leica T, whether Olympus or Panasonic? If so, has anyone tried it on the T? Olympus doesn't make EVF's. It, as the Leica, is made by Epson.
jevidon Posted January 5, 2016 Author Share #3 Posted January 5, 2016 Thanks for the info. Let me ask the question another way then. Is there a Panasonic or Olympus branded EVF that will work with the Leica T as does the Olympus branded EVF work with the Leica X2?

Is there a Panasonic or Olympus branded EVF that will work with the Leica T as does the Olympus branded EVF work with the Leica X2? No. Leica changed the connector to a cleaner design that embeds the connection into the hot shoe without a separate, external port. Olympus has stayed with the older design (with the connector at the back of the camera below the hot shoe) for compatibility purposes, since they have a range of devices that can be connected through this port.
