intex Posted May 31, 2007 Share #1 Posted May 31, 2007 Advertisement (gone after registration) I have extra lens encoding free coupons that I did not use, since I decided to get new lens instead of encoding the older ones. Is it possible to sell/trade these ? I hate to have them go to waste.
Advertisement Posted May 31, 2007 Posted May 31, 2007 Hi intex, Take a look here What to do with extra Encoding Coupons ?. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
stephengilbert Posted May 31, 2007 Share #2 Posted May 31, 2007 I've got four of them and plan to throw them away. If you don't need them, I don't see how you can use them without lying. Steve
barjohn Posted May 31, 2007 Share #3 Posted May 31, 2007 I'd be interested in two of them. PM me if you are willing to give them away to someone that can use them.

okram Posted May 31, 2007 Share #5 Posted May 31, 2007 Where are those coupons? I cant seem to find any in the papers I received with M8
cwf Posted May 31, 2007 Share #6 Posted May 31, 2007 The two coupons I have state on their face that they are non-transferable and that the "Name and address on voucher must correspond with return shipping address." This strikes me as unambiguous.
yoMammabot Posted May 31, 2007 Share #7 Posted May 31, 2007 Advertisement (gone after registration) I still haven't seen mine from my M8 I purchased in Dec. Who should I ask to speak with in New Jersey? I have 5 uncoded lenses and the sharpies are only so good for so long. thanks for any help!
Shootist Posted May 31, 2007 Share #8 Posted May 31, 2007 Since the coupons/vouchers had your name and serial number of the lens they are good for (and most of the ones I have gotten also had my address on them) I seriously doubt you can give or sell them to anyone. About the only thing you can do is with them is to have the person that want lenses coded to send/ship the lens to the person that has the vouchers and then that person send them to Leica. Then on return of the lens/es shipp them out to the person they belong to. From talking to Liz at Leica NJ she says the the voucher are good forever. The cutoff date is to receive the vouchers with the purchase of a new Leica lens. I think you have to buy a new Lens by June 30 (could be July 31) to get the vouchers. But you can use them whenever. I have 4 extras at home and I see no reason to throw them away. You never know when your going to happen on a deal on a uncoded Leica lens and I would just hate to fork out another $125 (+ Shipping) to have it coded. I have 5 uncoded lenses and the sharpies are only so good for so long. thanks for any help! You only get the coding vouchers WITH the purchase of a NEW Leica Lens from a Authorized Leica dealer and then only after you send in the warranty card. The Lens has to be bought before June or July 30/31 (Don't remember which month).

Well yes and no, on the bolded quote. I have the camera and lenses registered to my home address but I never have anything shipped to my home address. I always have everything shipped to my work address. I'm never home during delivery hours. Whenever I send something to Leica it always comes from my work address and I include a letter stating that Leica should ship the item back to the address it was shipped from, and I also include that address in the letter, and if they have a problem with that to call me at my work number, my Cell # or my home # and leave a message or call me at one of the other numbers. So far I have not had a problem with them sending any and everything back to the address it was shipped from, IE my work address. Oh it is always to the same name.
