Advertisement Posted December 24, 2015 Posted December 24, 2015 Hi MediaFotografie, Take a look here what can we do with USB?. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
mjh Posted December 24, 2015 Share #2 Posted December 24, 2015 Every piece of software supporting PTP – and there’s no shortage of these – should be able to transfer images from the camera to the computer. Now I would use a card reader instead but that’s just me.
LocalHero1953 Posted December 24, 2015 Share #3 Posted December 24, 2015 Puzzled! I connected my Surface Pro with Windows 10 and was able to see and import images into LR.
ramarren Posted December 24, 2015 Share #4 Posted December 24, 2015 I only rarely connect camera to computer, but: 1- plug in and download images into LR or other PTP aware app (like Image Capture on OS X). 2- connect camera, run Image Capture. Set Image Capture to download to a folder set in LR to be "watched". Take pictures, press Image Capture download button, and images go to the watched directory and thence into LR for a semi-automatic form of tethering. 3- Again using Image Capture, set a folder action such that when images land there, the Finder runs an Automator script to do something with them. et cetera. I agree that a more sophisticated capture app would be nice, but this suffices for anything I'm likely to do with the USB port.
