omllr Posted December 21, 2015 Share #1 Posted December 21, 2015 Advertisement (gone after registration) Hallo, Is there anybody who have experience with Voigtlander Color-Skopar Pan Type II 35mm f/2.5 ? Is it a good lens, and does it fokus like a Leica lens (double ghost goes into one)? Thanks for any answers.
Advertisement Posted December 21, 2015 Posted December 21, 2015 Hi omllr, Take a look here Voigtlander Color-Skopar Pan Type II 35mm f/2.5. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
LotharZhou Posted December 21, 2015 Share #2 Posted December 21, 2015 I have used one exclusively on my M8 a few years ago, very good lens for the value, surprisingly in the centre it was the sharpest lens I have ever use, made me constantly doubt my other leica Asph lenses. Sharper than my Lux 50A, than Cron 28, only the Zeiss biogon 25mm came close. I have used a lot of Leica and non-Leica lens, but I give really high marks of this tiny Skopar 35mm. BOKEH is very very busy and harsh, edges are not as good as more expensive lens, and the two different copies had uneven sharpness over the whole frame. earleygallery Posted December 21, 2015 Share #3 Posted December 21, 2015 I have the Skopar which I use on my M2. Very compact lens and I really like the results. I compared it once to a Summicron and couldn't tell any difference looking at 5X7 prints. And yes, it will couple with the Leica rangefinder. Welcome, dear visitor! earleygallery Posted December 21, 2015 Share #4 Posted December 21, 2015 Just to add, all versions of the 35 Skopar are the same optically. I have an LTM 'pancake' version with an LTM to M adaptor.
spydrxx Posted December 22, 2015 Share #5 Posted December 22, 2015 I switched to it (the SM/LTM version) a couple of years ago, having used a Summaron for many years, then the Summicron for about 3 years. Its rendition is different of course, but I find it a very good lens well worth the money. I've also been using it occasionally on my micro 4/3 body with very good results.
