EVF feedback

Hello,

I have now pre-ordered my Leica Q and all the reviews and research I have done on this camera have been excellent.

Overall the EVF is rated highly, however a few reviewers have had mixed thoughts with the EVF, notably 'washed out
images' and that it being a bright EVF, there are no current adjustments to turn the brightness down.

Do any other Q owners are to answer these questions?

Many thanks

Nick

I have been using the Q for almost 3 weeks and I have found the EVF to be excellent.  I have owned the Sony A7R and the Fuji X-T1 and I find the EVF on the Q to be better.

Many thanks for the feedback, what you say goes along with most of the reviews of the Qs EVF.

I have been using my Q since August. Having come from a Nikon DSLR I was concerned about the EVF - bottom line is it is fine, I'm very satisfied with it. I spent hours, literally, at B&H trying to make myself happy with the Sony A7R. It would have been such a relief to replace my big heavy Nikon stuff - but I hated it. One reason was the EVF was very poor, at least to me. The Leica EVF on Q is much better and perfectly adequate IMO. In some ways it is kind of cool - in dim light it gives a brighter image than can be seen with the naked eye!
