Snowman Posted December 16, 2015 Share #1 Posted December 16, 2015 Advertisement (gone after registration) Hello, I have now pre-ordered my Leica Q and all the reviews and research I have done on this camera have been excellent. Overall the EVF is rated highly, however a few reviewers have had mixed thoughts with the EVF, notably 'washed outimages' and that it being a bright EVF, there are no current adjustments to turn the brightness down. Do any other Q owners are to answer these questions? Many thanks Nick

I have owned the Sony A7R and the Fuji X-T1 and I find the EVF on the Q to be better.

Mr.Q Posted December 20, 2015 Share #4 Posted December 20, 2015 I never felt the EVF was too bright. There are two downsides imho. 1. the diopter wheel turns too easily 2. the corners are difficult to see without moving your head
Orguy Posted December 21, 2015 Share #5 Posted December 21, 2015 Hello, I have now pre-ordered my Leica Q and all the reviews and research I have done on this camera have been excellent. Overall the EVF is rated highly, however a few reviewers have had mixed thoughts with the EVF, notably 'washed out images' and that it being a bright EVF, there are no current adjustments to turn the brightness down. Do any other Q owners are to answer these questions? Many thanks Nick I have been using my Q since August. Having come from a Nikon DSLR I was concerned about the EVF - bottom line is it is fine, I'm very satisfied with it. I spent hours, literally, at B&H trying to make myself happy with the Sony A7R. It would have been such a relief to replace my big heavy Nikon stuff - but I hated it. One reason was the EVF was very poor, at least to me. The Leica EVF on Q is much better and perfectly adequate IMO. In some ways it is kind of cool - in dim light it gives a brighter image than can be seen with the naked eye!
