Commas separate multiple tests: 2GB SanDisk Extreme III 20MB/second write - 2.28 (Just for fun tested this old card. The 262 RAW files are anywhere from 22 to 29MB in size. Why the SanDisk would be just a little slower is perplexing.
Advertisement Posted December 14, 2015 Posted December 14, 2015 Hi jim0266, Take a look here I have a Leica M 262 in my hands for the next week. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
Guest JonathanP Posted December 14, 2015 Share #62 Posted December 14, 2015 Thanks, these figures look very much like I was getting on my M240 with the cards formatted as FAT. When I changed to exFAT (http://www.l-camera-forum.com/topic/253899-leica-m240-co-quicker-startup-by-exfat-format/?p=2948758) the 2.5-3s with 16G cards went down to ~1.5sec. Just wondered how your cards are formatted? Jonathan
jim0266 Posted December 15, 2015 Author Share #63 Posted December 15, 2015 They were either formatted with SDFormatter on my Mac using the "Overwrite" option or in the camera. Too bad I missed your post in that thread. Would have been interesting to try formatting them as exFAT but I shipped the camera back today. Looks like you were using the card I speculated may be the best for this camera, the SanDisk 16GB Extreme Pro.

John Ricard Posted December 15, 2015 Share #65 Posted December 15, 2015 Thank you. I may order the Sandisk. It's really a shame they didn't give the new camera the 2 gig buffer of the M-P. They have the technology. Why not utilize it?
