ynp Posted March 27, 2016 Share #25 Â Posted March 27, 2016 Very interesting lens and wonderful pictures. Thank you for sharing. The group village shots are very good. Loved the caldron picture.
adan Posted March 29, 2016 Share #26 Â Posted March 29, 2016 Whoo! - the bokeh gets a bit - energetic - wide open. E.g. the shots of the house with white window frames as OOF background in (post 21, second shot; post 22, first shot; post 23, last shot). Â But about the norm for a compact fast double-gauss 35 - the 35 Summilux/Summicron non-ASPHs are similar.
FrozenInTime Posted April 11, 2016 Share #27 Â Posted April 11, 2016 Advertisement (gone after registration) Some nice examples over at map camera ( of their limited silver finish REIROAL version of the lens )Â Â http://news.mapcamera.com/k4l.php?itemid=29480Â Â Â Use google chrome if you want a mind wrestling auto translation: "REIROAL M35mm F1.4 MC was a lens that combines the contrast of the aberration and the modern lens of old lens.. menos I M6 Posted April 11, 2016 Share #28 Â Posted April 11, 2016 Oh - the little silver chrome one looks sweet and it does have a real proper focus tab - a first with Miyazaki lenses! Now is there a massive brass and black paint version with meter only distance scale in red?
apertur Posted April 29, 2016 Share #29 Â Posted April 29, 2016 Any more examples. This lens looks tempting!
FrozenInTime Posted June 12, 2016 Share #30  Posted June 12, 2016 Some more : all at f/1.4 with ND - the glow and corner softness are as shot ( giving a look that likely needs to be used only selectively  )
Hayek Posted June 12, 2016 Share #31  Posted June 12, 2016 Not feelin' the love for US$1200 +.  A CV 1,4/35 is pretty damn tiny and 1/2 the price.

FrozenInTime Posted June 13, 2016 Share #33  Posted June 13, 2016 Not feelin' the love for US$1200 +.  A CV 1,4/35 is pretty damn tiny and 1/2 the price.  That's okay - the MS lens is a quirky thing, designed following one mans unique ideas and produced in tiny volumes : the price vs value reflects that. Stopped down it looks just like any other modern lens ; but opening up sees its character alter dramatically ( which was the main thing I was trying to show with these postings ) Compared with the 35/1.4 Voigtländer, the MS lens also has negligible distortion. Not sure how the central sharpness compares. It would be interesting to run the 35mm Summilux pre-ASPH against the VC 35/1.4 and the MS lens - all wide open on the same scenes. steveBK Posted November 30, 2016 Share #40  Posted November 30, 2016 Just picked it up yesterday locally in Tokyo @ Map Camera (awesome store).  It's a pretty neat lens, shot it on my M240.. here's a few shots. They have all been post processed a bit in terms of contrast/shadows/highlights/crop/vignette. Welcome, dear visitor!
