after Sean Reid's advice, i bought a LTM adapter for my 28 mm. Ultron lens, (9 cm one) but still cant do the coding!! i have tried all of these permanent markers, enamel white nail polish, white corrector fluids and all..(we dont have "sharpies" in this part of the world! ..) ,simply doesnt work!

Am i missing something?? what kind of paintings or markers should i use for these codings?? do i need a white permanent marker as well??

going mad here, any suggestion please??

It's the black marks that are the important ones, not the white ones. You can get away with just applying the correct black markings and leave where the white ones should be as the underlying metal.

Evren,

I had real problems getting a dense enough black mark using markers when coding my 21mm ASPH. In the end I used matt black modeller's paint applied with a very fine brush. This worked first time. I didn't have to worry about screws so I didn't need any white paint. There is another recent thread about coding where I detailed my approach to getting precise positioning of the codes.

Good luck,

Tim

This will make you madder still; there's someone impersonating you and using your name for the same question in another thread. Identity theft? I thought you needed to know.

Send it to John Milich and have him machine the recesses for you, then code it with matte white and matte black enamel paint - it works.
