digitalfx Posted November 21, 2015 Share #1 Posted November 21, 2015 Advertisement (gone after registration) Ok, post your tips, tricks or just your custom settings here. I'll get started with this one thanks to my friend Chris Bell: The JPEG settings also effect the EVF- for example if you select "high contrast" in the JPEG settings the EVF will display a higher contrast image, same with all the settings including sharpness. ramarren Posted November 21, 2015 Share #2 Posted November 21, 2015 A small thing, but it caught me by surprise a couple of times. I think Jono might have mentioned it on some thread here or elsewhere. When you're working with the LCD, a button press on the four control buttons enables control mode and the second press elicits the button's function. When the EVF is enabled, the button presses are direct. For example: say you're in Histogram display mode and you want to move to Focus Peaking display mode, which is the next one in the cycle. Looking at the LCD, you press the BR button once to enable control mode, and a second time to switch to the next display mode. Looking through the EVF, you press the BR button once. This improves the responsiveness of the camera when used at eye-level, when you normally want it to be more responsive. It's a nice touch.
