Bavaricus Posted May 29, 2007 Share #2 Â Posted May 29, 2007 Hi Mark, Â i am a bit puzzled about your question. M7 has a quite sophisticated rangefinder for a very acurate focussing. Theres is imho not need to estimate focus. But you can do this e.g. when shooting with a wide-angle >25mm in street photography. The .72 viewfinder is sufficient down to 28mm. Including the bright line frames. Â The light meter is also very useable. There is no need to buy an external one. Â Regards Reiner
earleygallery Posted May 29, 2007 Share #3 Â Posted May 29, 2007 I'm puzzled too! If you bought your camera from a dealer ask them to show you how to use it. Â If your lens is a screw fit, have you bought the correct adapter to fit it to your M7 - are the 28mm frame lines showing? Why would you want a separate viewfinder? Â Do you understand the rangefinder? Â With wide angle lenses you can of course pre focus and rely on Depth of Field for quick street shooting for example. Maybe that was your point? Â As for metering, unless you have some tricky conditions the meter should be fine. I'd use a hand held meter if you wanted to use incident readings for example. atwood1202 Posted May 29, 2007 Author Share #4 Â Posted May 29, 2007 thank you guys for the input i was wondering about the focusing manually since the viewfinder, although accurate is not an actual view through the lens i understand rangefinders but i was wondering how i would focus is there something in the viewfinder like blurred images that i can adjust lens settings to make a precise image or not? i know im wording this terribly im sorry thank you again
