How To Use Visoflex 020 EVF on X 113?

I just picked up a used one without any book and I can't find instructions online so I've got a couple of questions:

--I have figured out the diopter dial is on the right side but I can't find what I understand is a brightness control.  Where is it?

--I have enabled GPS on the camera menu.  How will I know if it is working?  Do I have to be out of doors to use it?

Thanks,

Bob.

Instructions here (I think).

Brightness control with my other cameras (I don't have the X) is usually within the camera menu, try there.

GPS (I have the Visoflex for my T) seems to work OK, not something I have really worried about, but some users say it takes a wee while to lock on, and could be better. There should be a confirmation I think in the finder or in the menu to say it's OK.

Try the instruction book download first, hopefully the questions will all be answered there.

Gary, thanks, but I've been to that location and it offers instructions for the camera but not for the EVF; I've got the hard copy for the camera so don't need the download.

I guess with the GPS you just turn it on and hope.  I found the display and even without a manual I think it is showing no connection to a satellite.  Do you know: if you do make a connection where does it show the location....in the exif and you need to view it on a computer?  It's not really that important I agree but it is the principle of the thing.

Mea culpa: I finally got around to reading my hard copy of the camera Instructions and discovered the instructions for using the Visoflex EVF 020 are contained therein.  In particular after reading the Instructions (which are typically short) I learned from playing with the camera with the EVF attached you have to have the EVF to your eye to access the relevant Menu selections such as EVF Brightness which are otherwise grayed out.

That's true, and I thought that would be preferable to my Sony EVF (goes with RX1R) where I need to lightly tap the button on-off.  It took getting used to that but I did. The nice thing about that system, is that you can keep the LCD from going on whereas with the Visoflex, it changes with your eye position.  Visoflex is really nice though!
