That second case is lovely.  However, years ago I gave up using cases since having them on cameras would delay me in capturing photos, and the added effort of extracting a camera from a case might be just enough to prevent me from taking out the camera.  When I don't have the camera out (which is rare) it is in a loose fitting soft fabric bag, which is how it travels in my hand luggage.
