The nearest competitor I would suppose would be the Fuji X100 T

colonel Posted January 12, 2016 Author Share #22 Posted January 12, 2016 Yes I take your point re the system idea, it was as you suggest about the sort of results you could potentially achieve for your money, with the Fuji at about a quarter of its original price, with the 23 f1.4 (equivalent 35 f1.4) . The nearest competitor I would suppose would be the Fuji X100 T The X100t is a lovely camera, however I find it inexplicable why Fuji made the buttons on the back cheaper then the X100S which felt much better to use. The other thing to note about the X100T is that the lens is soft wide open, soft close up and soft at infinity. How much this matters is up to you but it needs quite a lot of sharpening in post. the 23mm f1.4mm lens on the X-T1 or X-T10 is an excellent sharp setup, but not as fun to use as the X100 series IMHO ... Also in the UK .. an X100T on import is only slightly more expensive then a 23mm lens on its own ...
ECohen Posted January 12, 2016 Share #23 Posted January 12, 2016 Go for the Fuji or anything other than the Leica X2 ....you'll save a lot of money. I've used a lot of cameras...a lot, From the first moment that I used the X2 I fell in love..... the build ,the IQ, simple menu and the size. A year after carrying the X2 all the time, that was it.....I went for the M240 and a bunch of lenses So as you can see buy anything but Leica and you'll save yourself a lot of money. These are not perfect cameras, but what a pleasure they are to shoot with.
