vladik Posted November 1, 2015 Share #1 Posted November 1, 2015 Advertisement (gone after registration) Hello, is anyone using a Nikon f/2.8 135 mm Ais lens on a M (240)? I would be interested to know how well it performs. Should it be a good performer I would invest in Novoflex adapter. Thanks for your replays. 250swb Posted November 1, 2015 Share #2 Posted November 1, 2015 I use the 135mm f/2.8 Q Ai and it is a very good lens, sharper than my 135mm Tele-Elmar. But the Nikkor is a big heavy beast on the front of an M240, it's not so bad on the front of a Nikon F series body because the balance is better, which is why I only use mine when my Leica is on a tripod, hand held I use the Tele-Elmar. Price wise given it's performance it is a bargain, I think I got mine on Ebay for £65, and a cheap Chinese adapter only costs a couple of quid, as it's only a spacer with a lens mount I don't see the need to go the expensive route. Steve Thank you for your info Steve, I would use the 2.8/135 Nikon mainly on tripod for landscape and nature. On my recent trip to Snowy Mountains in NSW Aus. (I live in Sydney) I use mainly my new 2.0/75 Summicron that I love, but felt that I could do with something longer at times like 135 mm lens. Regards, Vladimir.
