Handgrip or Leather case with grip

I purchased an Angelo Pelle half case with grip.  The craftsmanship is superb, and it feels right.  Also went to the LA Leica Store and purchased a leather Ona bag.  The Q, in its Angelo Pelle case, along with lens hood, charger and extra battery fit very well.

How long will it take them to ship?

I just got a Luigi half case for my Q, nicely made, good leather. I have had several Luigi cases for M cameras. I emailed a few times with Luigi and his daughter (in Italy) paid via paypal on Sunday and it arrived at my home (in New York) on Thursday. Mine has a built in grip and battery door, no back cover or side cutout.

I'd say it's entirely personal preference, I went with the grip because I prefer the "naked" look as (with the red dot removed) it makes the Q quite inconspicuous and because most of the cases have comparatively small grips and I prefer a bit more to hold on to. I also found with previous cameras that the cases can interfere a bit with accessing controls/buttons. I intend to keep the Q for a long time so I'm happy to sacrifice a few small scratches in the name of usability :)

Can also check out this leather case with metal grip for the Q. Not too sure about the quality but looks pretty good from the photos:

I kind of like that, thanks for the link.

Just received this case for my Q. I'll take it with me on my next trip and give it a work out.  Quality looks very good. It's called a Bodysuit by Mr. Stone, made in China.

I prefer the Leica grip as it really transforms the handling of the camera and makes it so much easier to hold. I don't like the extra girth that half-cases add but that is just my personal view and I find that the thumbs-up just get in the way with ease of use of the compensation wheel
