Adapted via Photodiox adapter . The actual focal length is 56mm. The L1 gives me confirmed focus with any manual lenses. Shot with dynamic color setting with no levels or sharpening. These are jpegs straight out of the camera with 900X600 resized for web posting. I still want the R10 or D1 from Leica. I think it's a waste of good leica lens when you can only use half of it on the L1. Enjoy !

Nice shots, Charles! But you're only using 28.125% of the Leica R lens on the L1.

The R lenses are designed to cover an area of 24mm x 36mm ... the 4/3 sensor only needs 13.5mm x 18mm. Now this really redefines overkill. :)

Great shots Charles.

And you are using the best 28% of the R lens (ie the center).

look how sharp those edges are....be interesting if we could see how these images compares with the new 25mm D-Leica f1.4.....

Nice shots Charles, but I get the feeling that they are all a little bit dark. Maybe do with 1/2 to 1 stop more exposure?

But I agree with dugby - nice and sharp - comparative shots with the 'lux 25/1.4 anyone?

Thanks guys ! I still have an R8 and just can't bring myself to getting a DMR for it. According to the new Leica CEO Steven Lee we'll see something on Kina 2008. Leica can just give me a D version for R8/R9 body with a nice LCD screen on the back and I'll be happy. L1/Digi 3 has one of the best 4/3rds viewfinder out there besides the Oly E1 but it is still small.

These shots were take around 7:00 PM in the evening and the light was low.
