It is info to what many M users have been wondering - how do the M lenses fare on the SL As said, I will take the camera out next week for shooting with a variety of M lenses and share the unprocessed images here

A miller Posted October 25, 2015 Share #11 Posted October 25, 2015 It is info to what many M users have been wondering - how do the M lenses fare on the SL As said, I will take the camera out next week for shooting with a variety of M lenses and share the unprocessed images here understood; good of you to take the time to do this. I'm sure many are very interested. I am not sure it makes sense to share the unprocessed images, though. Any unprocessed RAW image from any camera will look unimpressive. I think people want to see how much you can get out of the files. So I would suggest that you go out there and get some great shots (no cats, please) and processed them in your typical professional fashion and then share. Have fun with your new gear! Best, Adam
TheGodParticle/Hari Posted October 25, 2015 Author Share #12 Posted October 25, 2015 Will do Adam Some (like me) want to see what the camera/lens is capable of and some do want to see what the "finished goods" look like so I will post some unedited as well as some edited images. I don't think I've ever posted a cat picture and that's not going to change Best, Hari
IkarusJohn Posted October 25, 2015 Share #13 Posted October 25, 2015 I think it proves that the camera works. That falls short of humour, James.

I personally could see the utility in having access to a full res unprocessed raw file so that I could play with it and see what it could do. But the utility of a low res version of such a file doesn't strike me as useful.

helged Posted October 25, 2015 Share #16 Posted October 25, 2015 For processed SL-images, Jay Cassario shows some examples, mainly based on the 50 Summilux-M.
A miller Posted October 25, 2015 Share #17 Posted October 25, 2015 I have shared RAW files in some other instances, happy to do so again - send me your email/dropbox details via pm and I'll send you a couple that's awfully nice. But I am currently having too much fun with the old technology of my 60 yr old Linhof Technika Press and 30 yr old Hassy SWC (and yes, my Leica film Ms). Likaleica Posted October 25, 2015 Share #18 Posted October 25, 2015 And this one with the Noctilux 50/f1 My aim was to see if the SL could be my EVF digital back for my M lenses, mainly using focus peaking With this picture are you saying that the SL does not work well with your 50? It seems very out of focus, or is it my monitor?
Likaleica Posted October 25, 2015 Share #19 Posted October 25, 2015 Another question. Where is this place? Looks like a Leica store, but I thought the release date is Nov 16. This looks like the camera is stocked and ready to sell.
