@McLeica Posted October 15, 2015 Share #1 Posted October 15, 2015 Advertisement (gone after registration) I have a Heliopan 46mm Variable ND that I used on my 46mm lenses when I had them. Now those lenses are gone I have the Q and before I go and buy a step down ring, I wanted to tap into the wisdom here as to whether the 3mm difference to the Q's 49mm filter size will cause me major vignetting problems. Any thoughts would be helpful.

As you are aware, the Summilux lens has a 49mm thread which is quite close in size to the lens surface diameter and I suspect that by putting anything 46mm in diameter in front, will unevenly affect the light across the whole face of the 28mm lens . Unless you, or someone else tries the combination, we can't be sure. Why not wait until you can perform a test. (Unless someone has the combo and can do this for us).
