Olsen Posted September 30, 2015 Share #1 Posted September 30, 2015 Advertisement (gone after registration) I have had my M P (240) for a few months only. I started off having the light metering at 'Classic', but found it to underexpose. Then I switched to 'Advanced' - and now it is overexposing, - or rather giving the pictures a 'tourist/amateurish' (which I am anyway) look, while compensating too much for low light scenes. But I found out today that I could then 'just switch to manual' in advanced mode - and the camera found just perfect exposures 'all by itself'.I wonder; how do you set your camera regarding light metering ISO-values etc.
Advertisement Posted September 30, 2015 Posted September 30, 2015 Hi Olsen, Take a look here Light metering modes, - ISO levels etc.. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
Schrödinger's cat Posted September 30, 2015 Share #2 Posted September 30, 2015 Classic in Aperture mode with the exposure compensation wet where ever I think it needs to be. Or Manual and best guess based on experience and then adjust. (yes, I admit to chimping )
Echo63 Posted October 1, 2015 Share #3 Posted October 1, 2015 Classic Metering - Manual exposure only, using the meter as a guide (also chimping and adjusting as necessary) in Live view (macro and 28mm zuiko with adapter) i use the exposure preview available with a half press of the shutter button to nail the exposure before the first frame (the best thing about live view IMHO)
