dangorange Posted September 25, 2015 Author Share #21 Posted September 25, 2015 Advertisement (gone after registration) Yes, my main concern at this point to to whether I can take the Q out of the equation, which is looking to be the case. I'll do a few more tests tomorrow and most likely burn that card reader beyond recognition.
Advertisement Posted September 25, 2015 Posted September 25, 2015 Hi dangorange, Take a look here corrupt raw files?. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
dangorange Posted September 25, 2015 Author Share #22 Posted September 25, 2015 I may of just conclusively resolved this issue doing something I should of thought of from the beginning. So my thanks and apologies to all that chimed in and took a look at my files etc. I still don't know what is happening exactly, but I think I can confidently take the Q out of equation as having a problem. This is what I just did, short and sweet... I am selling my Panasonic GF1 kit and have it all packed up, but am still able to take out and try testing it. I just took a few photos, put it's SD card in this godforsaken card reader I just bought and witnessed the same issue. Moral of the story, don't spend $5 dollars on an SD card reader to pull images off a $4K+ camera, or any camera for that matter....
new2leica Posted September 25, 2015 Share #23 Posted September 25, 2015 If the Q has built in storage, use that instead, as a test, it removes the SD/SD reader from the process.
ben446 Posted October 18, 2021 Share #24 Posted October 18, 2021 (edited) Had the same issue with a Q2 and an iMac. After months of no issues started to randomly get the dreaded pink line from both the built in card reader and an external one. (same filers were 'corrupt' from both readers) Happened with multiple cards including a new Prograde card. Tried on a newer macbook pro with a different external reader (usb c ) and worked fine. Was using Lightroom Classic and needed to remove 'corrupt' files from library, then purge cache and reimport.
