Sailronin Posted September 12, 2015 Share #1 Posted September 12, 2015 Advertisement (gone after registration) Having read so much about never shooting this camera below 1/250 sec or other "must use tripod" stuff I was very concerned with "mirror slap" and focal plane shutter on a medium format camera. Yesterday afternoon I was playing around and took this shot of the Zeiss 50mm Distagon and Metabones S adapter at 1/3 second hand held. Not a great shot but sure no "mirror slap" issues. tom0511 Posted September 13, 2015 Share #2 Posted September 13, 2015 I have take some times images below 1/100 because the light forced me to and they came out fine. Maybe not the sharpest for landscape, but for environmental portraits etc. usable.
jip Posted September 13, 2015 Share #3 Posted September 13, 2015 With the 70mm I usually try not to go below 1/90th... but for ultimate sharpness 1/250th is advised yes.
erlingmm Posted September 13, 2015 Share #4 Posted September 13, 2015 Of course you can go below. But if you want the ultimate potential from the camera you need relatively high speed. The grip helps, however, mabye 1 stop.
Daedalus2000 Posted September 14, 2015 Share #5 Posted September 14, 2015 Looks good! This was my best effort, shot at 1/25 with the 70 summarit (no tripod)... :-) Welcome, dear visitor!
