bwolfrom Posted September 6, 2015 Share #1 Posted September 6, 2015 Advertisement (gone after registration) Hi All -- I'm loving my new Q but may have found a bug with Auto ISO. When I set the maximum exposure time to 1/30, or anything slower than that, the camera acts as if I've set the maximum exposure time to 1/60. For example, if I turn on Auto ISO and set the maximum exposure time to 1/15, in a dim room the camera will shoot a photo at 1/60 second with ISO 1600, instead of what I would expect: 1/15 second with ISO 400. Setting the minimum shutter speed to 1/125 or faster works as expected. Is anyone else seeing the same behavior? Thanks!
Advertisement Posted September 6, 2015 Posted September 6, 2015 Hi bwolfrom, Take a look here Auto ISO with slow shutter speeds. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
viramati Posted September 6, 2015 Share #2 Posted September 6, 2015 Have just tried it as you have done and yes I can confirm this. Personally I don't use it in this way as I have it set to auto and if I want slow shutter speeds I set them manually and let auto-iso do the work. You should email Leica about this
bwolfrom Posted October 1, 2015 Author Share #3 Posted October 1, 2015 Quick update: Leica US tech support confirmed this issue after a few emails back & forth. A technical advisor wrote to me that it will be "brought to the attention of the product developers in Germany." Cross your fingers for a firmware update someday! sturkel Posted October 1, 2015 Share #4 Posted October 1, 2015 Just an FYI I also had noted this as well. There are several settings that seem to reset themselves to a default.
