FeralCoton Posted August 23, 2015 Share #1 Â Posted August 23, 2015 Advertisement (gone after registration) The locking plastic tab on my EVF seemed to magically come off so the EVF no longer clicks into the down position. I went by the Leica store and they said it would have to go in for 'repair'. Don't know if there will be a charge. You'd think a $600US (I got it when it came out before the never ending discount)'might last a bit longer...
Advertisement Posted August 23, 2015 Posted August 23, 2015 Hi FeralCoton, Take a look here EFF snap broke. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
tobey bilek Posted August 23, 2015 Share #2 Â Posted August 23, 2015 Plastic junk favored by the bean counters. Â I have never appreciated anything but the M and R cameras, perhaps the S now. Â May your repair time be less than 3 months. Â
hkgmatt Posted August 23, 2015 Share #3 Â Posted August 23, 2015 Same thing happened to me. Another reason why the EVF should have been integrated. I got another EVF.
FeralCoton Posted August 24, 2015 Author Share #4 Â Posted August 24, 2015 Did they replace it?. I guess mine is still covered by Amex, but for that much money it shouldn't come with regular and protected use
rsh Posted August 24, 2015 Share #5 Â Posted August 24, 2015 I cannot say that I have see a locking tab on the EVF. Â The EVF I own slides into position and clicks in. Â When I remove it, I just slide it out.
FeralCoton Posted August 25, 2015 Author Share #6 Â Posted August 25, 2015 Yes sorry. It is the little tab on the top part that clicks in. That tiny little tab came off.
