Landscape, Iceland Southeast

Stuart, you should do so!

Once you have visited Iceland you never will forgot the mystic landscape, hot spots, falls and the continously changing weather. Your only desire will be to come back to this powerful island. Be careful you will believe in trolls and elves.

Hi Hans,

lovely indeed. Being North Countries lovers (as for Norway), Iceland is a place where we hope to go sometime. Did you visit the Mid-Atlantic fault? It seems to me that Iceland is the only place where that fault is on the ground surface. When did you go there?

Thanks and please keep posting.

H Flavio,

my last trip was in June 2006. You can visit the different faults (on Reikjanes, Thingvallier, Eldja). But going inside Iceland - this is the real miracle - you need a big SUV because you will have to pass a lot of fords (if possible and depending on the actual water level) and slopes on very bad roads. But having seen Iceland once you will feel an urgent need to see it again.

Regards Hans
