Advertisement Posted July 26, 2015 Posted July 26, 2015 Hi overexposed, Take a look here m-p bug. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
AlanJW Posted July 26, 2015 Share #2 Posted July 26, 2015 No, I have not experienced this. When you say the zoom automatically engaged, I assume you are talking about magnification that kicks in when you move the focus ring of the lens. This has nothing to do with the shutter release, so should not be causing the condition you describe. I did not see this on either my original M(240) or my current M-P(240). overexposed Posted July 27, 2015 Author Share #3 Posted July 27, 2015 yes this is what i mean, the magnification, i dont touch the focus ring at all and the camera starts to zoom in. normally when you are in the magnification, you push the shutterbutton half and the view return to normal, this is not possible in my case then
Exodies Posted July 27, 2015 Share #4 Posted July 27, 2015 Sounds like your camera needs fixing. Perhaps just a faulty switch.
250swb Posted July 27, 2015 Share #5 Posted July 27, 2015 when i was using the evf the zoom automatically engaged and the shutter button is not firing. i had to push the zoom button manually again to get out of the zoom, then i could take a picture again. If it's only happened once it's not a good enough reason to think the camera needs fixing. It may possibly be a freak combination of actions that will never happen again.
